Mission
Axeo helps startups, companies and institutions achieve their technological innovation goals by providing a service structure in incubation, acceleration, research and development, prototyping and more. As a non-profit organization, Axeo is dedicated to promoting and developing a culture of innovation in the entire Outaouais region and the National Capital Region of Canada.

As an NPO, Axeo reinvests all its revenues in the development of its ecosystem, in order to provide better support and tools to entrepreneurs.
SERVING ENTREPRENEURS
FOR OVER 20 YEARS
Since the founding in 2005 of the Language Technology Research Centre, Axeo has made a name for itself in the regional ecosystem thanks to its cutting-edge expertise in research and technology. In 2014, its reorientation as Cilex, an incubator-accelerator for innovative businesses, helped it offer expertise specifically to entrepreneurs looking to innovate. In 2016, the Institut Innovation Gatineau was founded to offer more options for the growing needs of the innovative businesses of the Outaouais region. The Institut and Cilex merged in 2024 to become Axeo and offer a strengthened service offer under one identity.

Thanks to its prime geographical location, Axeo is at the heart of all business events in the region, in the Outaouais and Ontario. Its location within the Université du Québec en Outaouais makes it an exceptional meeting place for innovation and expertise.
